Chinese Cuisine (中国菜) originated from different regions of China and has become widespread in many other parts of the world.  Regional cultures vary greatly, giving rise to the different styles of food.  The CACC  community will proudly showcase the following 10 major regional Chinese cuisines at the New Year Luncheon on the 5th Tri-Valley Chinese Culture Day.:

Table 2: Cantonese/Hongkong Cuisine(粤菜:from Guangdong province,
Table 3: Jiangsu Cuisine (苏菜/扬州菜:from Shanghai and Jiangsu province),
Table 4: Hunan Cuisine (湘菜:from Hunan province),
Table 5: Shandong Cuisine (鲁菜:from Shandong province)
Table 6: Zhejiang Cuisine (浙菜/杭帮菜:from Zhejiang province)
Table 7: Anhui Cuisine (徽菜:from Anhui province)
Table 8: Fujian Cuisine (闽菜:from Fujian province)
Table 9: Mandarin Cuisine (京菜:from Beijing)
Table 10: Dongbei Cuisine (东北菜:from Northeastern region)

 

Representing food cultures from different regions of the greater China area, 10 groups of families will each prepare 8 to 10 dishes of the respective cuisine they sign up for. With many favorite family recipes and years of experience, combined with creative new ideas, over one hundred of families will create a superb culinary experience that you will never forget!

A panel of judges will be formed to vote for the best cuisines based on the presentation and taste of the dishes.  This is going to be a wonderful feast that you and your family won’t want to miss.  Please pick your favorite cuisine and sign your family up ASAP!
